Glossary: what beautiful numbers are called
The market calls the same thing by different names — in Armenian, in Russian and in Latin letters, all mixed together. Here is what stands behind each word.
Why one word gets spelled three ways
Armenian words are often typed in Latin letters — it is quicker on a phone and more usual in messages. So «գեղեցիկ համար» also appears as «gexecik hamar» and «geghetsik hamar». It is the same word, and people mean the same thing by it.
| What people say | How else it is written | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Գեղեցիկ համար | gexecik hamar · geghetsik hamar · beautiful number | The general name for any number with a pattern. The broadest word of all: both «gold» and «VIP» fall under it. |
| Գոլդ համար | gold hamar · gold number | A number with a clear pattern of middling rarity: three identical digits, a repeated pair, a round ending. Here that is the Gold status, beauty index 45–54. |
| VIP համար | vip hamar · VIP NUMBER | The rarest numbers. Here that means Premium, Elite and Diamond — index 72 to 100. The word is imprecise: different sellers use it for different things. |
| Բոմբ համար | bomb hamar | Colloquial. A number you remember instantly: 55 90 90 90 and the like. In meaning, the same as VIP. |
| ԲԱՑԱՌԻԿ | bacarik · exclusive | «Exclusive». Used for a number the operator has only a handful of. Usually the top of the scale. |
| Պլատին հեռախոսահամար | platin hamar · platinum number | The status between Gold and Diamond, index 60–69. At the operators this is a separate category with its own price. |
| Ադամանդ | adamand · diamond | The top category at Team and Ucom. Here it corresponds to the Diamond status, index 72–79. |
| Անվանափոխություն | anvanapokhutyun · transfer | Changing the owner of a number at the operator's office. The operator charges a fee for it, and Viva, Ucom and Team each calculate it differently. |
How our status differs from the operator's category
An operator names a category when it sells a new number, and each has its own scale. Our status is calculated by the engine from the number itself, identically for every listing: it breaks the digits down, finds the pattern and assigns a status with an index from 0 to 100.
